Premium over spot is the number that matters
Headline prices move all day with spot. The premium tells you what a dealer is charging above the metal itself, which is why every price on this site shows it alongside. Compare premiums, not prices, and you are comparing like with like.
The same coin is not the same price
On a widely stocked product the gap between the cheapest and dearest dealer is routinely a few percent of the purchase — on the same coin, in the same condition, on the same day. That gap is the whole reason to compare before you buy.
