About this product

Invest in the 90% Silver 1964 Kennedy Half Dollars 50c (Circulated) Discover the allure and historical significance of the 90% Silver 1964 Kennedy Half Dollars. These coins were minted to honor the late President John F. Kennedy, who was assassinated on November 22, 1963. The popularity of President Kennedy, both in America and around the world, made these coins highly sought after by the public. The 90% Silver 1964 Kennedy Half Dollars are made up of 90% silver and 10% copper, giving them a high silver content. Each coin in the bag contains approximately 0.3617 troy ounces of pure silver, with a total weight of approximately 71.5 troy ounces for the 200-coin bag. These coins come in circulated condition, which means they may have some wear and tear, such as dents, bends, or other imperfections. The obverse of the coin features a left-facing portrait of John F. Kennedy, designed by Gilroy Roberts. The reverse showcases an adaptation of the Presidential Seal, with an eagle holding a striped shield, an olive branch, and a bundle of arrows in its talons. Designed by Frank Gasparro, the reverse also includes the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "HALF DOLLAR," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM." These 90% Silver 1964 Kennedy Half Dollars are a piece of American history. They were minted in 1964, making them the only Kennedy Half Dollars with a 90% silver composition. From 1965 to 1969, the silver content was reduced to 40%, and from 1970 onwards, the coins were made of copper and nickel with no silver content.
