Celebrate a landmark American coin design with the 2026 Best of US Mint 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter Dollar Gold Coin & Silver Medal Set PCGS SP/MS 70 FS. Created for the nation’s 250th anniversary, this two-piece set pairs a 1/4 oz .9999 fine gold coin with a 1 oz .999 fine silver companion medal. Both pieces have achieved perfect PCGS 70 grades and qualify for the First Strike designation. Limited to a mintage of 30,000 sets, this release reimagines the celebrated 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter for the Semiquincentennial while adding an original modern medal inspired by its historic design.
Revisiting the 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter
First introduced in 1916, the Standing Liberty Quarter became one of the most recognizable artistic designs of early 20th-century American coinage. For the 2026 Semiquincentennial, the U.S. Mint selected it as one of five historic coins to be reimagined for the Best of the Mint collection. The new gold coin preserves the original imagery while adding a Liberty Bell privy containing “250,” connecting MacNeil’s classic design directly to America’s anniversary. A newly created silver companion medal expands on themes of Liberty, peace, and national unity.
