How to Compare Bullion Products

Not sure which bullion product makes the most sense for you? Bullion Hunters lets you compare up to four products side by side, making it easier to look beyond the listed price and compare premiums, buyback pricing, dealer availability, and key product details.

Add products using the Add to comparison button on any product page, then visit the comparison page to review your selections together.

Choose Your Quantity

Use the Quantity options at the top of the page to compare products at the amount you are considering buying.

Quantity matters because dealer pricing can change at different purchase levels. A product that has the lowest premium when buying one unit may not have the same advantage when buying 20, 100, or more.

Understanding the Product Comparison

The comparison table is divided into two main sections: What They Cost and What They Are. Green cells highlight the best value in each row, helping you quickly identify differences between the products.

Under What They Cost, you can compare:

Best Price Today

The lowest published dealer price Bullion Hunters currently tracks for each product at the selected quantity.

Premium Over Spot

Shows how the product's price compares with the value of its underlying precious metal. This helps you see how much you are paying above or below the metal's spot value.

Best Buyback

The highest comparable published buyback price Bullion Hunters currently tracks for the product. Buyback information may not be available for every product.

Spread — Cost to Exit

Shows the difference between the best available purchase price and the best published buyback price. This helps you compare the buy/sell gap across products rather than looking at purchase price alone.

Cost to Own

Shows the dollar difference between the current best purchase price and best published buyback price for the specified number of units, making it easier to compare that difference across products.

Dealers Stocking It

Shows how many tracked dealers currently offer the product. This provides additional context about how widely available each product is.

Compare the Product Details

Price is only part of the comparison. Under What They Are, Bullion Hunters displays available product specifications side by side, including:

• Mint or manufacturer
• Year
• Fineness
• Metal weight
• Condition
• Face value
• IRA eligibility

These details make it easier to compare products that may contain similar amounts of precious metal but differ in purity, issuer, format, condition, or other characteristics.

See Which Dealers Have the Product

Select See Dealer Prices beneath any product to view the dealers currently offering it and compare their published prices.

The displayed price may not be the final amount you pay. Shipping, payment surcharges, taxes, availability, and other applicable charges or conditions can affect the final checkout total. Always confirm the current offer and terms on the dealer's website before purchasing.

Look Beyond the Purchase Price

The product with the lowest purchase price may not have the lowest premium, strongest published buyback, or widest dealer availability. Comparing these factors side by side gives you a more complete view of your options.
