1921 Morgan Silver Dollar MS 63: The Final Year of the Original Series

The 1921 Morgan silver dollar MS 63 comes from a landmark year, the last of the original Morgan series. Certified Mint State 63 by NGC or PCGS, each coin has been independently graded and sealed. Struck in .900 fine silver, it contains about 0.7734 troy ounces of actual silver weight. Toning, the natural color change that silver develops over time, may appear to any degree.

A Farewell to the Original Morgan

1921 was the final year of the original Morgan Dollar series before the Peace Dollar replaced it. The obverse features Lady Liberty with "LIBERTY" on her diadem along with "E PLURIBUS UNUM." On the reverse, an eagle with outstretched wings clutches arrows and an olive branch. As a classic U.S. silver dollar with a $1 face value, this date links the Morgan era to the Peace Dollar that followed.
