Both pieces have earned perfect PCGS 70 grades and qualify for the coveted First Strike (FS) designation. With only 15,000 sets authorized, this Semiquincentennial release brings classic American coinage into a distinctive modern format.

  • Gold Coin Design: Features Liberty facing right, with flowing hair tied by a ribbon and draped fabric across her bust. Surrounding Liberty are thirteen stars representing the original American colonies and a special Liberty Bell “250” privy mark. Reverse: displays the heraldic eagle, a powerful symbol of the young nation. The eagle carries a shield on its chest and holds arrows and an olive branch in its talons, representing both strength and peace.
  • Silver Medal Design: Obverse: Depicts an eagle in flight soaring over a rendition of the Earth encircled by swirling cloud formations. In the background, a rising sun casts brilliant rays to symbolize the dawn of a new age. Reverse: Features a modern portrait of Liberty with long, flowing hair. The inscription "LIBERTY" across the top border, flanked by seven five-pointed stars on the left and six on the right. The year "2026" is inscribed at the bottom.
Reimagining the Legendary 1804 Silver Dollar

Known among collectors as the “King of American Coins,” the 1804 Silver Dollar occupies an extraordinary place in U.S. numismatic history. Despite carrying the date 1804, the famous surviving examples were actually produced decades later, with the first struck during the 1830s for diplomatic presentation sets intended for foreign dignitaries.

For America’s Semiquincentennial, the U.S. Mint selected the 1804 Dollar as one of five historic designs for its Best of the Mint program. This fourth release recreates the classic Draped Bust Dollar as a high-relief, one-ounce 24-karat gold coin and pairs it with a newly designed silver medal. A Liberty Bell privy containing “250” distinguishes the gold coin as a special 2026 anniversary issue.
