2023 Silver Eagle, PCGS MS 69, in a First Strike Flag Holder
This 2023 Silver Eagle MS 69 First Strike coin is a one troy ounce, .999 fine silver American Eagle graded Mint State 69 by PCGS and labeled First Strike with an American flag design. It dates from the third year of the Type 2 reverse. MS 69 is one step below a perfect grade, with only slight imperfections that usually need magnification to see.
Third Year of the Landing Eagle
The U.S. Mint changed the Silver Eagle reverse in 2021, and by 2023 Emily Damstra's landing eagle had become the standard design. Sculpted by Michael Gaudioso, it shows the eagle with wings spread as it comes down holding an oak branch. Weinman's Walking Liberty continues on the obverse with IN GOD WE TRUST, LIBERTY and the date. Like other bullion Silver Eagles, this coin has no mintmark.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the 2023 PCGS MS 69 Silver Eagle have a mintmark?
No. Bullion Silver Eagles like this one are struck without a mintmark. Only Proof and Burnished versions carry a W, S or P mark, so the PCGS label is where the grade and designation are shown.
How is the 2023 PCGS MS 69 First Strike Silver Eagle priced?
Dealers start with the spot price of one ounce of silver and add a premium for the grade and label. Because MS 69 premiums vary by seller, comparing published prices side by side helps you see current offers.
