King Charles III Meets Britannia on the 2024 Platinum Coin

Bearing the effigy of King Charles III, the 2024 1 oz platinum Britannia is a Royal Mint coin containing one troy ounce of .9995 fine platinum, in Brilliant Uncirculated condition with a 100 pound face value. It also includes four enhanced anti-counterfeiting features. The King Charles III effigy distinguishes it from earlier Queen Elizabeth II-dated coins in the platinum Britannia line.

A New Monarch on a Familiar Series

The platinum Britannia joined the Royal Mint's lineup in 2018, following the gold Britannia of 1987 and the silver version of 1997. On the 2024 coin, Britannia appears as the female personification of Britain, with BRITANNIA, 2024, 1 oz and 999.5 PLATINUM inscribed around her. The obverse portrait of King Charles III is surrounded by CHARLES III, 100 POUNDS and DG REX FD. Individual coins come in a plastic flip.
