A Brief History of the America the Beautiful Coin Program
Launched in 2010 and concluding in 2021, the America the Beautiful (ATB) Quarters Program was created under the America’s Beautiful National Parks Quarter Dollar Coin Act of 2008. The initiative celebrated 56 different national parks and historic landmarks, one for each U.S. state, territory, and the District of Columbia. Each 5 oz silver version was struck by the U.S. Mint at Philadelphia, replicating the quarter’s iconic designs in investment-grade silver.
