A Flawless 2022 Silver Eagle Under the PCGS Flag Label
This 2022 Silver Eagle MS 70 First Strike coin was graded a perfect Mint State 70 by PCGS and comes in a holder with an American flag label. It contains one troy ounce of .999 fine silver and carries the Type 2 reverse introduced in 2021. MS 70 means no imperfections show under 5x magnification, the top result on the Sheldon scale.
What the First Strike Designation Records
PCGS applies the First Strike designation to coins it receives within its early-release window, generally the first 30 days after the issue comes out. On a 2022 Eagle, that places the coin among the early examples from the second year of the new design. Emily Damstra's reverse shows an eagle swooping in to land with an oak branch, and Michael Gaudioso sculpted it for striking. The obverse keeps Liberty walking toward the rising sun with the flag over her shoulders.

Perfect-Grade Pricing Across Dealers
An MS 70 coin carries a higher premium over silver spot than the same coin in MS 69, and dealers do not price that step up the same way. Bullion Hunters shows each dealer's published offer and buyback price together for easy comparison. See other silver eagle grades or explore U.S. silver coins.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the flag label mean on a PCGS 2022 Silver Eagle?

How do dealers price the 2022 PCGS MS 70 First Strike Silver Eagle?
They start from the spot price of one ounce of silver and add premiums for grading, the perfect MS 70 result and the First Strike flag label. Each dealer's amount differs, so compare published prices.
