West Point Attribution on a Perfect-Grade 2024 American Eagle
The 2024 Silver Eagle FDOI West Point label coin holds one troy ounce of .999 fine silver and is graded MS 70 First Day of Issue by PCGS. Like other 2024 bullion Eagles, it shows no mint mark, so PCGS identifies its West Point origin on a dedicated West Point label. That label, together with the (W) in the name, is the main thing separating it from the flag label edition.
The Eagle Landing Reverse
This coin carries the newer reverse the U.S. Mint introduced for the program's 35th anniversary. Emily Damstra created the artwork of a bald eagle coming in to land with an oak branch gripped in its talons, and Mint sculptor Michael Gaudioso sculpted it for the coin. The obverse keeps Adolph A. Weinman's Walking Liberty. Reverse inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ, FINE SILVER and ONE DOLLAR.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the 2024 West Point Silver Eagle have no W mint mark?
Bullion-strike 2024 Silver Eagles are issued without a mint mark. PCGS records the West Point origin on the holder instead, which is why this coin has a West Point label and the (W) appears in its name.
What affects the price of a PCGS MS 70 FDOI West Point Silver Eagle?
The starting point is the spot price of silver. Dealers then add a premium reflecting the grade, the FDOI designation and the label, and the amount differs from one dealer and quantity tier to the next. Comparing published offers shows the spread.
