A Roll From the Silver Eagle's 30th Anniversary Year
The 2016 Silver Eagle roll of 20 contains twenty Brilliant Uncirculated American Eagles, each struck in one troy ounce of .999 fine silver, about 31.1 grams. The 2016 date marks 30 years since the program began in 1986, which gives this year a natural place in a date run. The coins come in a tube that holds all twenty together.
Thirty Years of the Silver Eagle
Sculptor-engraver Adolph A. Weinman created the Walking Liberty for the half dollar, and the design returned decades later on the Silver Eagle's obverse, showing Liberty moving toward the sun wrapped in the Stars and Stripes. The reverse on 2016 coins is John M. Mercanti's heraldic eagle, holding olive branches in one talon and arrows in the other beneath 13 stars. Each coin measures 40.6 mm across, so standard 40.6 mm capsules fit it.

The price combines the value of 20 ounces of silver at the current spot price with a premium chosen by each dealer. Premiums vary by seller and by how many rolls you price, so compare the published offers side by side.
