The 2018 Silver Eagle roll of 20 brings together twenty Brilliant Uncirculated American Eagles struck by the U.S. Mint, each with one troy ounce of 0.999 fine silver and a $1 face value. The roll holds 20 troy ounces of silver in a single tube. The bullion Silver Eagle is made in just one size, so every roll of 20 carries the same total silver.
A Design Borrowed From the 1916 to 1947 Half Dollar
The obverse of the 2018 Eagle reuses the Walking Liberty that Adolph A. Weinman created for U.S. half dollars struck from 1916 to 1947. Liberty walks toward the sunrise holding laurel and oak, with the flag wrapped around her. The reverse is the heraldic eagle beneath 13 stars, together with the coin's purity, weight and denomination and the inscriptions E PLURIBUS UNUM and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The Silver Eagle is the official silver bullion coin of the United States.
