Vienna's Orchestra in a Tenth Ounce of Fine Gold

The 2021 1/10 oz Gold Philharmonic is a Brilliant Uncirculated bullion coin from the Austrian Mint containing one tenth of a troy ounce of .9999 fine gold, with a 10 Euro face value. It honors the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, and the same design is also issued in silver and platinum versions.

The Organ and the Instruments

The Vienna Philharmonic was founded in 1842 and performs at the Musikverein concert hall. One side of the coin shows the Musikverein's Great Organ in the Golden Hall, with REPUBLIK OSTERREICH, 2021, 10 EURO and the weight and purity in German. The other side, engraved by Thomas Pesendorfer, groups a Vienna horn, harp, bassoon and cello among four violins beneath the words WIENER PHILHARMONIKER. Each coin comes in a plastic flip.
